Leisnig is a small town in the Mittelsachsen district in the Free State of Saxony, situated on the Freiberger Mulde, roughly between Leipzig, Dresden and Chemnitz. The town has around 8,000 inhabitants. It is known above all for Mildenstein Castle, which stands above the old town overlooking the Mulde valley.
